This project caused me a lot of trouble in the beginning. I was really struggling to come up with an idea for my animation. It felt like every time I got an idea, I could not figure out how to translate that idea into animation given my limited experience with the tools. I figured out that I should just go as simple as possible and see where the idea grew from there. Eventually I thought of the paper airplane idea. I liked the idea of watching it move through environments, not on its own will but by other forces interacting with it, i.e. wind, cars, etc. I thought of this because I remembered a book I read as a child about a teddy bear and all the places it went and the stories it has with a bunch of different people. The teddy bear never moved itself but rather the world around it moved it to different places. Once I had my idea, I started animating super simple scenes and as the animation progressed, the scenes got more and more action in them, and more things started happening to the airplane. I am happy with how my project turned out. It was not the most complex thing, but the idea and the narrative got across fairly well, so I am happy. I have a lot more respect for animators after this project. While I only grazed the surface of what animation can be, it was definitely difficult to portray what I wanted to through the medium.
