About Me

Hi, my name is Andrew Dolliver, and I am entering my senior year at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am actually not an art major; I am majoring in accounting and finance; so, you may be asking why an accountant would be in digital art. As I am entering my senior year, I really wanted to take advantage of classes outside of the business school that interested me. I found myself signing up for certain classes more because I had to rather than me wanting to. Ever since high school I had an interest in taking a digital art class and learning to use these awesome tools such as photoshop and illustrator. Right now, my art experience is little to none, my last time taking an art class was elementary school, so, to be honest I am getting a little out of my comfort zone trying this class, but I am excited. The one time I remember loving art was back in middle school when I created my own comic books. I could definitely see myself drawing from that in my pieces. From what I know about art already, I have always been interested in surrealist paintings and drawings. Architecture has also been a medium I have found interest in. The Sagrada Familia in Spain is one major piece of architecture is fascinating to me. I have no real approach to making art yet, I honestly do not even know where to begin, but I am excited to be challenged in new ways and I hope I can learn a lot from this class!
